How to save a life - The Fray #musicfriday

So Finally, I managed to drag the not so little miss Olurotimi into my team. She loves music and writes well, jez like me yea! Hehe.Only, I must warn you, she's quite a melancholy type person, most of her song choices will make you sober. She has her happy go-lucky days too, we thank God for small mercies. lol.

I don't know what is doing the geh! Anyway, she's on board now for #musicfriday! Join me in welcoming her on board and I absolutely love her pick for this friday too!! Don't let bitterness drown you.

Enjoy......

More often than not, I listen to songs for their rhythm
And not their lyrics, I kid u not!!
However, it just so happens that when I find myself in certain situations
Or see some things happening around me,
Several songs relating to these situations or circumstances come to mind
But hey! Maybe I'm a genius
Or does anyone else out there possess similar super powers?!!
I didn't think so!

Anyway, there have been so many deaths already in this new year
And it's got me thinking about life in general
I revisited the thoughts of how uncool it is that some of us are grudge experts
I'm not talking about the "I'm mad at you! I'm not even gonna talk to u now" kind of grudges;
I'm talking about the mean spirited, evil (Yes evil) kind.
The "I'm not even gonna talk to you" for like a month or two or a year!!! Nooo way!!!
Life is short pple! Change your ways!

Back to business! So this whole mood got me thinking "how to save a life" by the fray! The song expresses the struggles of trying to reach out to a troubled person.
Yes, everybody is fighting a battle but there's always the stronger person! Use your strength! Encourage or at least say a prayer for someone today!
And to that person about to drown in the battles of life; hold on! Help is on the way.

Cheers people!

"How To Save A Life"

Step one, you say, "We need to talk."
He walks, you say, "Sit down. It's just a talk."
He smiles politely back at you
You stare politely right on through
Some sort of window to your right
As he goes left and you stay right
Between the lines of fear and blame
You begin to wonder why you came

Where did I go wrong? I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

Let him know that you know best
'Cause after all you do know best
Try to slip past his defence
Without granting innocence
Lay down a list of what is wrong
The things you've told him all along
Pray to God, he hears you
And I pray to God, he hears you

And where did I go wrong? I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

As he begins to raise his voice
You lower yours and grant him one last choice
Drive until you lose the road
Or break with the ones you've followed
He will do one of two things
He will admit to everything
Or he'll say he's just not the same
And you'll begin to wonder why you came

Where did I go wrong? I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

Where did I go wrong? I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

How to save a life

How to save a life

Where did I go wrong? I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

Where did I go wrong? I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
How to save a life
